The Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) is holding a market day, a show of medieval artistry, hand-craftsmanship, and large scale medieval combat demonstration at Renninger's Twin Markets in Mt. Dora. The Society for Creative Anachronism is a not-for-profit, educational organization dedicated to the study of the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. The SCA has over 50,000 participants worldwide who recreate many different aspects of the years between 600 and 1600 AD. Members of the society learn about the times they study through research, by wearing the clothing of the time, and taking part in the combat, crafts, arts and sciences practiced in the Middle Ages and Renaissance. The SCA is open to all. For more information, or to join, please go to http://www.sca.org/. Or contact your local group: http://www.lochgryffyn.org/ (Lake County).
