Darwin Photo Clinic

Restoration, Copy or Oil Painting of your treasured photos At Darwin photo clinic you can have your treasured photographs restored, copied or resized, have light to extensive damage removed, have the photograph turned into an oil painting, or, through the use of Harding painting, have black and white photographs colorized. Need a frame to fit your newly restored photograph? Darwin Photo clinic offers Victorian reproduction frames in unusual sizes and shapes of octagon, circle cathedral, oblong, hexagon and rectangle. The frames have convex glass and can be made to fit your old photographs that have lost their frames, or newly made reproductions. The technique used at Darwin photo clinic to restore and reproduce your vintage is the same method that was used in the old days. The prints are hand copied and processed individually using fiber based paper instead of a plastic base, a process that insures much greater longevity. Coloring is done by hand, using a top quality oil paint wash. The owner of Darwin Photo clinic has been in the business since graduating Moore College of Art in Philadelphia. She worked for several photo studios before starting her own business, over 22 years ago. Her many years of experience can be seen in the quality and clarity of the restored photographs on display. She recommends the following other creative ideas for your photographs: Combine several photographs into one by overlapping head and shoulders, enhancing soft, faded photos.
